Wath Hall Open Photography Exhibition 2017
Introduction
Entries are invited for the Wath Hall Open photography exhibition, Wath Hall, Church Street, Wath-upon-Dearne, S63 7RE.
The exhibition will take place on Saturday 10th June from 10am - 4pm and is open to all ages.
The exhibition aims to recognise the talent of local photographers and to showcase their work in our beautiful hall.
This is an open exhibition with no theme and is open to all ages. The photographs must be suitable for viewing by a general audience of all ages.
Competition
There is a separate competition for the best photograph of Wath to celebrate the village. Details about this are given separately.
Entering your work
You can enter a maximum of 3 pieces.
(*If further artwork is required and you are willing to exhibit extra pieces, please indicate this on the entry form. You will not be charged for these.)
Entry fee and commission
The fee is £2 per entry, payable on the date of entry. Cash payment only. Please bring the correct amount, if at all possible, to speed up administration.
No commission will be taken for exhibits that are sold, but a donation to the Town Hall charity fund would be greatly appreciated.
Presenting your work
All photographs need to be presented in a frame that can be safely hung. Metal and clip frames will not be accepted. Canvas work must be stretched on to wooden frames. We reserve the right to reject works that are not framed to required standards or are otherwise unsuitable for hanging.
Labels: Attach a label to the back of the picture frame, detailing your name, the title of the work, sale price or NFS (Not for sale). The label information should match the details on the entry form.
Packaging
Appropriate packaging before delivery and collection is the responsibility of the artist.
Insurance
Please note that no insurance is provided by Wath Hall Limited, so all pictures will be left at your own risk. We will however take every care to prevent damage. Works will be covered if you have your own insurance.

The Town hall is situated between Montgomery Hall and Wath Parish church. Free parking is available at the front of the hall.
On the following date:
Saturday 3rd June 10am –12 midday and 1-2pm
Please note that you need to deliver the original works as there is no pre-judging process.
Collection and money from sales
All pictures and money from sales must be collected from 4pm on the exhibition date Saturday 10th June, with the receipt provided. Pictures may not be removed until the end of the exhibition unless sold.
N.B. Group delivery and collection times can be negotiated with the curator, Ray Lewis.
