Last year we held a very successful adult art exhibition in November. This year it would be great to have even more entries and visitors. So please spread the word.
The exhibition is open to groups and individuals over 18.
Wath Hall BIG Art Exhibition 2017 Information and entry form
Introduction
Entries are invited for the Wath Hall BIG Art Exhibition, Wath Hall, Church Street, Wath-upon-Dearne.
The exhibition will take place from Saturday 4th November until Sunday 12th November and is open to all artists over 17 years of age.
The exhibition aims to recognize local talent and achievements, and to showcase their work in our beautiful hall.
Prizes
We are offering a cash prize of £30 for the work chosen by visitors to the exhibition.
Entering your work
You can enter a maximum of five works*. We welcome art work completed in 2D and some freestanding 3D work. Please note that we do not have glass display cabinets for the sculptural work. They will be exhibited on tables or be floor standing.
*If further artwork is required and you are willing to exhibit extra pieces, please indicate this on the entry form.
Entry fee and commission
The fee is £3 per entry, payable on the date of entry. Cash payment only. Please bring the correct amount, if at all possible, to speed up administration.
No commission will be taken for exhibits that are sold, but a donation to the Wath Hall Limited charity fund would be appreciated.
Presenting your work
All 2D work needs to be appropriately framed and strung. Pictures should be strung one third of the way down the back. Metal and clip frames will not be accepted. Canvas work must be stretched on to wooden frames. We reserve the right to reject works that are not framed to required standards or are otherwise unsuitable for hanging. Entries need to be suitable for general viewing for all ages.
Labels: Attach a label to the hanging string (or sculpture), detailing your name, the title of the work, the medium and sale price or NFS (Not for sale). The label information should match the details on the entry form.
Packaging: Appropriate packaging before delivery and collection is the responsibility of the artist. The packaging will be stored safely at the Hall.
Insurance
Please note that no insurance is provided at Wath Hall, so all paintings will be left at your own risk. We will however take every care to prevent damage. Works will be covered if you have your own insurance.

Wath Hall is situated between Montgomery Hall and Wath All Saints Parish church. Free parking is available at the front of the hall.
Please note that you need to deliver the original works as there is no pre-judging process.
Collection of artworks and Money from sales
Artworks can be collected either at the end of the exhibition on Sunday 12th November at 4pm or on Saturday 18th November 10am-12md.
N.B. Group delivery and collection times can be negotiated with the curator, Mrs Ray Lewis.
Preview evening
There will be a ticket only preview evening on Friday 3rd of November for all exhibitors. Two tickets per artist will be issued on receipt of the entries. Please confirm attendance by Weds 1st November to wathhall2015@gmail.com
